Just saw Tom Panos (Sydney Auctioneer) sell a property for 5.413mill. The current owner only settled 8 weeks ago for 4.5mill.

I thought Sydney was seeing signs of a slowdown? Crazy.

I own x6 properties so I have a vested interest in capital growth but this kind of market behaviour fills me with dread.

Not normal market behaviour in anyone's book. Have seen how big market blow off top moves plays out in the equity and commodities markets. Cheap debt and limited supply of a hard asset. It's never any different until the tide goes out due to an unforeseen event.

Are Sydney taxi drivers giving out property tips?

I think they gave up long ago, their down time is much more productive out hunting and buying every sqm possible :)

You should be happy to see this. Sell up. Take massive profit. Move it into the Gold Coast market and do it all over again.

Is there a story behind this?
Why hasn't some journalist made a big deal of it yet?

Probably still working out how to spin the story as though the vendor is a greedy villain!
