My 18yo son would like to get into property (yay!) and we are discussing ways to achieve that.

Has anyone invested with their kids to help get them started and be part of the journey?

We are looking at him investing 10% and me 90%, to get him some experience and a start.

Have people done structuring like this before? Pro's and cons? Other options?

Could we look at investing as a company instead of individuals?

Any experience or advice greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have no experience with this as mine are still toddlers! But I listened to a great podcast a few days ago on an impressive young man who had got well underway with his property portfolio through working casually at a bakery & then later as a casual teacher. He started with cheaper properties in regional areas - with good yield. Adding a granny flat to one. Borrowing has always been difficult for him but he said he just had to ask enough people to find someone that would eventually help. Think he was up to 4/5 properties by mid twenties.
