Buying property near electrical towers

    Hi,

    I would like to purchase a large block and subdivide and sell the parcels with DA to a developer.\

    Problem is that next to the property there is a electrical tower so I am concerned about reselling as there are different opinions on the web if it causes cancer or not. Anyone who has purchased property near a tower and can share their experience?

    Scientist refers you to the "inverse square law"

    Broker refers you to LMI providers that wont insure props that are within 50m of HV lines

    can still be financed, but you lose a bunch of market segment

    Thanks guys, I have decided to leave it since I found out that there was already DA's done in 1996 and no one ever built something on it since which is a good indication for the perceived value of the property.
