Bunnings exiting carpet and blinds sales

    Was just down at Bunnings and they were dismantling their carpet racks. Lady advised that as of tomorrow Bunnings are no longer selling carpet or custom made blinds.

    This ends the any room any size carpet deals which were handy for quick renovations

    Wow I didn't see that happening.

    If you still want good deals for renos Masters do the Free installation deals often (while they are still around). Did 3 bedrooms for $900. The Bunnings was more expensive at $400 something a room

    I wonder why they closed this section down? I can only assume they are not making enough profits in this area?

    Possibly not. They also needed to deal with 3rd party installers and they can be tough. Its hard to control whether they do a good / bad job or steal the clients.

    As an example I got 2 air cond units on my Powercard and had one installed by Bunnings 3rd party installer, then had the same people install the other (and bypassed Bunnings, saving on install fees).

    They are closed, for good, as of late last year.
