I had one last awkward-selling-time crack with a Brissie offer tonight. Let's see! Might be time to lie low for a while after this

    Dammit, can't post the link!

    couriermail.com.au/realestate/news/brisbane-qld/queensland-property-market-particularly-the-southeast-is-tipped-to-finally-have-its-moment-in-2016/news-story/06968780fa2e3140c1b054301da49b8f

    And this one:

Property hot spots for 2016: Hobart, Brisbane and a touch of the coast

I think first quarter Brisbane will start with a bang

You need to be subscribed to read both articles. Would you mind copying and pasting them? Or maybe just the Brisbane highlights.

You just need to google the titles, I'm not a subscriber either

Time for a new thread as the 2015 thread has well and truly run its course!

Link to 2015 thread: QLD - Brisbane looks good in 2015.

Has anyone woken up from the Christmas slumber yet?

How do things look now compared to this time a year ago... does the market performance across Greater Brisbane look patchy to anyone else?

    Yes! I'm in ;)

And to answer your question, not really - although it's hard to draw conclusions when both buyers and sellers are withholding activity simply due to Christmas / New Year.
Im still in a multiple offer situation today with an OO (damn them).

Maybe we should discuss permanent thread titles though, like:

'Will the Brisbane median house price reach $1 million by the end of 2018"?

Despite all the hype in 2015, brisbane has delivered !!
I dont think you will find many ig any at all buyers in 2015 or before in this cycle that have regrets having bought in beisbane.

I have no regrets at all with my 2015 Brissie purchase. Would have been good to do a second one as well, but right now my $$ are going into a Sydney PPOR.

Well ,mine in Brissie did ok....about 30-80 gains.

I need another 150-170k per property over the next 2 years...hopefully it gets there....that it will add another million to equity...hopefully.

I don't want to see the bust though, I'm not yet in a position to take advantage of it

Dammit. Two good buys in two weeks, both times outbidded by owner occupiers. Not sure what they are doing in this market, I thought I'd beaten them there! Grrrrr.

Do you know how much the other offer was for? Higher than yours? Better (or less) conditions?
