Significantly wetter once you cross the (hard) border into BCC.

GC was pretty light, Logan medium, Brisbane Heavy.

God knows what it is like North of the river. Sandbag anyone?

Severe flooding at the bottom of the Toowoomba range is not a good sign, as it ends up going east into the Brisbane river.

Just arrived back from Rocklea after a quick look ,at least this isn't as bad as the lead up in 2011 as the main dam in the Brisbane Valley is just under 90% so hopefully even with all the run off low lying properties from rocklea then the river front at yeronga into west end will be safe..
I'm still in a flood class action from 2011 ,so I hope your insurances are with Suncorp because in 2011 that company went out of their way to help, the company we were insured with didn't cover that type of flood and said no can do and we we're paid zero..
    Good luck.

We recently had discussions about Stones corner ( Brisbane thread ). . Some said it is less affected by flood, rejuvenation of storm water and open creek areas good etcetera.

This morning one person lost in flood waters in Stones Corner !!

    Very sad news.

I’ve been telling everyone to stick to QLD insurers where possible. They seem to be the best in class. Suncorp especially so. I hope your thing gets resolved soon. Good waves your way

Those are the true heroes. Bushfires or floods, these people put their lives at risk to save others. Under appreciated selfless heroes. They restore my hope in humanity.

We are almost at the end of it. Should start easing later today.

Anyone that invests in the Brisbane flood zone know the realities and the Banks they're happy to lend in those flood zones ..
So the only way is insurance and let someone else deal with the problem..

We'd considered driving to Bribie to visit friends, but the road is cut. And the footage of Toowoomba and Withcott must be chilling for those who lived through the last floods out that way.

A mate just had to rescue their mum by canoe, 200mm through the bottom of the house at Oxley, It went to 1.2m there in 2011.
