Our ongoing issues with Council chasing owners seems to have ramped up again. There have been letters sent again, this time enclosing the BCC v Brook decision and suggesting that they have until October 2016 to regularise the use.

It is possible to get a change of classification of the building to 1B with some modifications.

There have been some prosecutions for those that have not complied in time frames specified. $15k fines and possible conviction recorded, not a fun experience for the owners.

From my light reading of all things brissy on this forum, it seems the restrictions, limitations, flood zones etc made it hard to love Brissy.
