What are people's opinions on Sunnybank Hills & Surrounding? It's probably a tad over the 15km, but seems to be a bit in my price range? Roads look fairly good to the city? Any locals chime in?

That would be good, I've got no idea about Melbourne either.

Ah, nice one, Sydney's out of my price range.

Sunnybank is good, there's probably a thread or 2 around here or SS.
It's Chinatown if you didn't know. Lots of competition.

Had a good look in Brisbane on the weekend, still some good buys around.

Sunnybank hills is popular with Chinese buyers especially those priced out of Sunnybank. Stay away from high voltage power lines and property actually on Mains/Calam rd as the traffic is non stop. Its a major hub with nearby shopping centres, train access to the CBD via the Beenleigh line nearby.
SBH can be divided into 2 sections IMO with the area around Jacksons rd cheaper and East of Calam rd to Gowan rd favoured but thats only my impression from living nearby previously.
Lots of townhouses, chinese own most of the suburb, haven't checked prices recently but Sunnybank has recently shown strong growth.
SBH will probably follow if it hasn't already.
For a suburb once considered a long way out there's always a buzz of activity there as its also close to Griffith Uni
