I dont know if its a case of not advertising to hide anything or conceal. In most cases they have reputations that drive business and through adviser networks. Business mates talk to business mates at the yacht / golf etc club too. I'm always happy to refer a client to a problem solver. The problem client is one who wants the top shelf solution but only can afford the free water at the bar.

Some (minority) do get an adverse reputation and then the likes of the ATO want to know who they advised. s264 Notices get issued asking for who they have advised etc. The ATO routinely ask who has given advice for this reason.
