I am due to settle on a purchase in just under 3 weeks - I signed and returned the loan docs 2.5 weeks ago.

I have not heard anything from my conveyancer about the booking of a settlement date. When does that usually happen?

I should call the conveyancer but I'm scared to in case he has some bad news - sounds silly but I just can't deal with any drama at the moment.

It's usually done a few days prior to the actual settlement. If you want to settle early, call your conveyancer to organise.

It's not uncommon for there to be an error in the loan documents (missing signature or document), these are easy to fix. If this occured, you'd likely have been contacted by now.
