    Hi all,

I'm about to partake in a private sale on a property in QLD.

I'm having trouble sourcing a blank contract of sale.

Both the QLD Law Society and REIQ seem to have it in a member's only section.

It seems the most current version is the 16th edition.

Could someone direct me to the right place?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have permission to use it?

What do you mean permission? It's a contract. I didn't realise I needed permission to use a legally binding document.

If this is the case. What's the alternative?

Someone owns the copyright ie REIQ/Law Society etc.

You engage a solicitor/conveyancer to prepare the document or sell you a copy or go to REIQ Level 1, 50 Southgate Avenue CANNON HILL QLD 4170 and buy one over the counter.

Thank you. I didn't realise they were available for purchase. Will do that.

My solicitor refused to provide one. Said it had to come from seller's solicitor. Both parties are new to this. Thanks for all the help.

If your solicitor says it must come from the seller's solicitor, why are you buying one. Why isn't the seller's solicitor preparing the contract?

Vendor needs to provide instructions to their solicitor to prepare a contract & pay for it.

I think we all assumed you were selling as you were partaking in the sale, not "purchase" :)
