    Yes, late again. Sorry.

Congratulations to @jim1964 as this weeks Biggest Loser with a 2.04% loss.

Next week I'm going to clean up the spreadsheet of those who haven't weighed in over the last 4 weeks, so the snapshot of the averages of those who have been committed can be more accurate.

    Those who have been committed?

So people who lose weight get sent to an asylum?

Next week will be my last weigh in, as I'm heading off to Japan for a few weeks. Please don't remove me, if you keep this going past the 12 weeks.

Sounds good! There's probably a few people on there that don't need to be. I'm thinking Bayview, who isn't interested in losing weight. I'm not sure why he's even on this thread. I'm sure he's not the only one. At least if those that really aren't interested were removed there's less work to do.

Absolutely. But I'd like a photo comp or something as well as the numbers. I for one would trump up for a body composition scan

@pinkboy Can we get the total kg loss as a cohort? I'm pretty sure we've lost a whole @wylie by now.

LOL. You lot are losing weight and I swear that somehow it is making its way to my bathroom scales.:p

Back to the dietitian Tuesday. I'm still trying to stick with my 1100 calories, but not losing anything quickly. At least I've stopped gaining.

One good thing with this dietitian is that I've also started seeing him in his capacity as an exercise physiologist. I mentioned at the first appointment that I might have problems lifting weights due to a "frozen shoulder". He worked for a few minutes on my shoulder, said he thought he could help me, and two appointments later, after much pushing of thumbs into my ribs and a fair bit of pain (tolerable pain), he has worked some magic, and if I "set" my shoulders correctly and consciously use my neck muscles, I can lift my arm straight out to the side and to the from with no twinge or pain. I've not been able to do that for several years.

If I don't concentrate, I still get pain, and he says it is a matter of retraining my brain and consciously engage the muscles that are not working. He says retraining the muscles should retrain my brain to automatically engage those muscles that have become lazy.

Over nearly six years, I've been to several types of therapists and nothing has made any lasting difference.

    I'm pretty impressed.

Frozen shoulder limits being able to lift weights, but I'm starting small. The last thing I need is to damage my shoulder even more. It's a PITA getting older. I know getting older doesn't mean falling apart, but things do start to wear out a bit, especially as I'm now finding out, if I've been using muscles to compensate for lazy muscles that aren't pulling their weight. I'm glad I've found this guy though. He seems switched on and finally I feel confident I might be able to use my shoulder again.

I even need to be careful using my own weight as the "weight" because of this shoulder. I cannot lift the doona off me with my right arm without pain. It seems to be mostly down to technique though, which he's working with me on changing.

I had the same problem for about 6 monhts. I couldn't sleep with my arm above my head either. Finally seems to have gone, but I get an occasional itch inside my shoulder. Nothing worse than an itch on the inside.
