    Not sure about this.

Syd certainly has had falls and it’s not immuned to cycles/market conditions. Sadly, nothing is bullet proof. People have short memories or not been in the game long enough

I think it took 7 years of no growth/falling back until Syd boom of 2013. Blue chip was also impacted during this period. There was also a minor dip and rebounded, cant recall whether it was 2016/17??

Perhaps some from Syd could provide further info on this

you might be right, 20% might have happened i in that boom but if I recall it wasnt quite 20%

i personally believe that the general population due to recent events is now expecting that even though there may be plateaus and small dips, a crash of that scale will never happen and the government will not allow it

Back in the day, yeah I would have fully agreed with this..its changing, and it will have to if brisbane is to have any chance of challenging Sydney and Mel dominance.

Well even the traffic shows this. Although pandemic masks it a little. No cars on road Monday's and Fridays, peak hour at 2pm!!

I know we all say we work hard, but as you said .... really?

    I do though .....:)

You use traffic as a judgement on whether people work hard?

Do Sydney and Melbourne tradies work til 5pm Friday? I doubt it.

When I moved to brissy ( long time ago ) I came to land of the long weekend, early knock off, and long lunch..

    I was horrified.

Actually I would say that there are a few good things about this, that hard working ppl get on well in brissy (exception )that probably 2ppl are used on jobs where 1 can do it etc etc

New arrangements including job share, flexible work arrangements, paternity leave, etc. Although I must say I do support some of them ( DV leave is inspired inho )

These days I go with flo much more.

Who cares if not much gets done.

best mate landed a retention bonus ($27000), 42% pay rise and a company car. Companies have $$$ to spend!

Everything is pointing towards a significant crash. thats why it won't happen.

Since the pandemic - I have never been busier with work.
Turning down work left and right in the $$$ hundreds of thousands.
Oh well such as life - I am only 1 man and there are only 24 hours in a day.
I am not going to work myself into the grave.

The next crash will be the end of civilisation. No IF's or BUTS. Once china stop the world implodes.

Evergrande won't be a Lehman brothers moment, evergrande will be a 'world ending' moment.

Nope. Just making sure people realise how much we rely on china. From Electronics to socks, everything is made and shipped from china.
