    Some of my favourites are:

    A Salt and Battery which is a chippie in Brisvegas.

    Dirt Dogs Done Dirt Cheap as you can guess is a dog washing company

    Splashdown a portable loo company

    And last time in Turkey I noticed on the shelves in the supermarkets a nappy brand called PEDO Diapers

    I'm pretty sure that's where the name of the city came from, it was the major clothes washing centre in the whole US, hence Washing Town, or Washington.

    A quick Google would debunk that.

    It was an English place name for hundreds of years before the US was ever discovered by Europeans, and became a surname in 1183.

    The name comes from a completely different origin.

    Nope, you're definitely wrong geoff.
    Washing Town (DC), wasn't the first Washing Town, but it took it's name from the English translation of the original old Bavarian washing town Wasch Stadt of 1053.
