Here is an idea for the shop for Christmas. :)

Question for other small business. What do you for Christams?
Do you give staff gifts? What about suppliers?

As I am bit a of a Christmas nut :)
We dress up in Christmas shirts (see 2nd pic. Notice Santa has screen doors in his sleigh :) )
Have Christmas cake and nibbles for smoko and I try to throw a bit of tinsel around the factory. (Until the boys stop me :p ). My office is decorated pretty.

I give staff a cash bonus and a gift (usually a ham and alcohol).
Bigger customers (ones who pay well) get hampers while others get wine , Christmas cakes or puddings.

Some of our supplier reps also get alcohol or hampers.

People who have gone above and beyond for me and helped me make money get a great gift, sometimes $1k cash, a crown gift card to spend at any of the venues or a room etc. Others get alcohol or i take them out for a really nice meal and drinks.

I think it's important to reward those who deserve it

I'm not a decorator but we put on big dinner parties for staff and their partners and families.

For a few years I had a sailing bug so I took the staff and a few colleagues and associates for a day cruise on Port Phillip Bay. I learned that one associate doesn't mix with boats very well.
