    Can't help feeling that here, and possibly in UK, winning a 2019 election could be being handed a poisoned chalice.

    My guess is Peter Costello and the Liberal Party privately thank the Lord every day that their stint on the Government benches ended in 2007.

    Labor seem to be simply hopeless at seeing the strategy of the Liberals. Abbott, Barnaby and Co are deliberately trying to appear in disarray and chaos and be thrown out of Government just before the next global turmoil hits... then they get to blame Labor for the next 20 years. They still talk about Keating's 1991 recession and Rudd's budget disaster of 2008, as if the world wasn't having any problems at those times either.

    One might speculate that the barber across the road will be doing a lot more business when all the bankers are lining up in due course for their own haircut...
