Does this mean Western Sydney will see some more strong growth in the next few years?

I would think so. It should bring jobs and businesses to the area

    They'll soon start complaining about:
    1. Lack of affordable housing
    2. Developers buying up land
    3. Investors buying up properties
    4. FHB being priced out of the market
    5. Overseas investors (pick an issue)
    6. Lack of job opportunities
    7. Lack of government services
    8. Lack of infrastructure

Western Sydney is the third largest economy and they expecting an extra million people by 2036 with them trying to make Penrith the next Parramatta, the future is looking bright. I also think Blue Mountains will benefit greatly from the increased jobs and infrastructure plans :)

Naturally. That's what they do. It's in their 'DNA'. Complainers complain . Champions win. Simple.

All ya gotta do is choose your camp .

Sydney is going bananas now with all the road and rail projects currently on. Boom town! A lot of prep work getting ready for the choo choo planes. But i think it may be a case of sitting flattish then in 5 years or so another mini boomish increase when planes actually take off

Penrith is looking in good shape! ! High St has shops open and lots of people once again not just 2 dollar shops and kebabs. Plus there are tower cranes galore:eek: the riff is coming of age! ... but my big question is will the high bar go back to the boom days and do they still sell jugs of rum and coke? (No glasses just a straw thanks;))

No rail link? I doubt there will even be a connecting road at the opening with this incompetent government. You'll have to put your luggage on a donkey for the first few ks.

A cab to the city will be, what, $150? Won't be used by anyone visiting the CBD.

What's the deal? Will one airline direct all their flights there or will all airlines use it for some of their flights?

Don't forget how much Leppington will benefit.. a whole new precinct is expected to go in there.. hotels, TAFE, jobs, jobs, jobs, etc. I read this 3yrs ago now when i was looking at buying into the area.

I hope Penrith does greatly benefit from it too.. hope the stigma of the area goes..

The first few years of operations at BC is freight -absolutely no need for a train.

As for road - RMS has been strong on compulsory acquisition on the Northern Rd.

Pre works for the northern road will be starting next year. Existing Service relocating etc soon :)

Its coming, they may be incompetent but given enough time and enough attempts they'll get it done. The north west rail handling yard isn't even finished and the plans are being drawn up for the extension which include a ring track linking north west to south west through st marys'ish i believe.
So no need to fret ;)

Google Parramatta and penrith. If you want sydney go to the existing airport it will remain open :D

Road is coming and is planned to be ready by the opening. A lot of local residents have already been notified that their land might need to be acquired for it.
