When does auctioneer need to be paid? At the time of the booking or only if there is an auction??

We had our house for the auction, then after 2 weeks removed from the auction and advertised for sale. Do I need to pay the agent marketing package with the auctioneer fees as originally quoted? There weren't invitations sent, no A4 brochures printed, no auction....

Did you speak to your agent? Usually yes the auction fees have to be paid even if there is no auction.

I can't find the part in the contract if the house doesn't sell (as house wasn't sold and not on the market any longer). Contract only covers if house is sold...

surely there would be a clause as what if the auctioneer does the auction and it doesn't sell? they wouldn't be paid for this.
