Auction date before or after Easter weekend ?

    Hi members,

    My painters are busy this period, therefore my marketing campaign would be delayed too -- can only start in mid March.

    My selling agent advised not to have auction during the Easter weekend. It should be either before or after.

    Can I get your opinion of this ?

    Imo if a buyer is serious then they are not going to walk away from the auction simply because its a holiday weekend.

    Yea I know, tradition would say avoid it but I suspect it could filter out the serious from the tyre kickers.

    Is the selling agent heading away for a long weekend him/herself?

    I would avoid holding an auction on the Easter weekend.

    I'd try for before or after, whichever works best for your own timing.
