Taking a punt on an Australian painting, to fulfill dream of regaining lost home ownership.

I love the idea of supporting living artists!
and have done so with an interest free loan!
Spent much more that I would have liked, but the amount of enjoyment is priceless!

I’ve recently discovered that I have a natural artistic flair. I reckon my following piece would easily achieve $1.5 Mil if put to auction:):

Don’t laugh age does strange things to some of us:confused:.

Lol, your going to have to try alot harder than that! Become homeless, a womaniser, pick up an addiction, cut off a body part and die, then sure $1.5 would not be unreasonable. :D

I have referred these to a group of well respected psychologists - their conclusions were unanimous: pen !s envy. Sketch 1 is self-explanatory, 2 &3 have a lack of.....

The art dealer says it's priceless (or was it worthless) - can't remember which.

As expected. Comments from those here who have no knowledge and appreciation for high end artwork. And no doubt there’s a large element of jealousy involved.

I’ve shown my work to three of the toughest critics you can get here. All have shown immense appreciation for my artwork:

Two days ago was telling my partner about this story. These brothers found a painting in Basement, New Jersey belonged to their mother (deceased). Got it valued at around $800, decided to sell at auction... not even the auctioneer realised what it was, but bids came in from Germany and Paris, the winner from Paris paid $1M and sold it to a collector for $5M

Rembrandt painting found in New Jersey basement now in museum

Google... Thomas Kaplan who was the collector (paid $5M).. he owns I think 11 Rembrants.

    Love these stories.... fascinating

I get so excited when someone discovers they are sitting on millions....

Just thing this Faberge egg was going to be scrapped for gold... worth 20M pounds.... sitting in their kitchen I think

The £20m Fabergé egg that was almost sold for scrap

Are those painted ladies ferocious or are they behind chainwire for their own protection - giving too many controversial reviews?

No, they’re behind wire to prevent them from eating my artwork. That’s also why I don’t include certain parts of anatomy in the paintings. They look too much like large grubs which the girls go insane for:).

Hehe, and when you come to sell you find out:

    (a) the auction house has gone into liquidation owning heaps and you could get naught for the "priceless" piece you originally bought; or

    (b) the dealer has sold your asset multiple times different clients and it has mysteriously gone missing.

Best by relatively inexpensive stuff, hang it on your walls and enjoy it. Then you could be magnanimous and bequeath it to your State or National art gallery if it is actually worth something. One person in Canberra bequeathed works valued over $54m in that way.
