Yes. When you are investing for yourself or for and on behalf of the household it has to be that way as far as I am concerned.

And what others think doesn't even get onto the "Matters for Concern" list.

It is a very selfish attitude however so care needs to be taken it doesn't spill over into other activities which is possible.

Sorry, by that I meant not the 'grandfather' LIC's, but then again I'm just guessing here

Thanks for posting this, no wonder you were disappointed!! Did have Contango when listed, paid well but sold it luckily without a loss. WMK too, but less said the better, good lesson from these for me. Took the loss from WMK & invested elsewhere. Happy with PMC but bought fairly cheaply. Mostly old school LIC's for me now & index. Lesson learnt.

Applications for Entitlement Offer delivered via email. Nice.

Payments for full Entitlement and additional shares scheduled.

    Job done.

And to finish another job telling one individual as gently as I can I am not involved, legally or otherwise, in a bequest they will shortly receive from a maternal relative. A matter between them and the Executor.

I had a rush of blood to the head and read the Entitlement Booklet. Seems the managers are alert to the sensitivities of a number of potential applicants and included a small snap shot on the effects of dilution.

Interesting but irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Could be a growing trend as I don't recall seeing such information in the past.

Just curious what are those effects of dilution and if we need to think twice before accepting entitlement.

The nature of capital raising is if you don't participate your holding will be diluted that the crud of it.

Then on to the question if you should or not and price wise is another story

ALI has made the booklet, which contains some examples, available on the ASX website.

Two things are now going to happen.

First, I try and remember how to fill out a deposit slip to bank the cheque (very much days gone by); or

Second, the company instructs the share registry to deposit the funds to the recorded nominated account.

I'm betting on the first scenario.

I lost the bet with myself. Direct deposit to bank account. Awesome as it should be with all those electrons flying around goodness knows where.

Yet again. The "Buy" button should be greyed out and not permitted to operate in any way, shape or form - at least in my case.

I'm now just imagining the $10m transfer that @SatayKing had to set up at Macquarie Bank to fund the share purchase!! Retirees shouldn't have to put up with typing so many 0's o_O

I’m just jealous cause I’m still waiting for transfer of VAS / VGS distributions from slow, stupid Macquarie CMA to Nabtrade:(.

That's nuts taking so long. Let's keep the client's money overnight and use it on the short-term money market. They won't mind.

I use ING for receipt of dividends/distributions which are in and available usually by early afternoon of the day of payment. Apart from that convenience the product isn't worth anything to write home about. One reason I'm pretty OK about doing a Buy before the funds hit the accounts. I'll stuff myself up one day no doubt. Don't use Nabtrade though as I have other (not saying) arrangements in place.

Same with the small NAB debit account I use for the coffee. For fun I transferred a small amount from NAB to the ING via EFT and it was in before cob. Not so the other way however although it does appear (mostly) later in the evening.
