Really sorry to hear that too. I hope all the staff are being looked after by some sort of redundancy or compensation package.

Just want to encourage that 2017 will be a year to start something new and better.

Sorry to hear daisycutter... I never read the magazines, but its sad when any business closes down and the staff and ancillary services all bear the brunt of it. I hope you find a new role quickly and all is OK with family and colleagues.

What a shame!! but i guess it's a tough market trying to get tight ass landlords to reach into their pockets!

All the best to you and the gang

Aww sad news indeed :( was the first investing magazine I bought and superior to the others.

Surprised it isn't moving onto digital only as that was a as good and probably cheaper to run. Guessing the one that was delivered yesterday is the final issue.

At least I'll finally be able to get through the pile that I only ever seem to get half way through before the new one arrives!

Wonder how much the PriceFinder user numbers will drop by...

Sorry to hear that... I've been a big fan and now I have nothing to read on the train. I guess not enough people subscribe to the soft copy version too?

In honoring API, we should see who has the oldest mag...
June/July 2003... when Sydney property was at it's peak

I first started reading API in 2002.
It has saved me a lot of money over the years with legal tips and various other stories.
It is also the best property mag in Australia IMO.
It will be very sad to see it go!

RetireRich101 - I was in the August 2012 issue for the same story above (New vs Established Properties)...

Good luck to those who work there, I hope things work out well for you.
    Regards,
    David

Sorry to hear this Kieran. For me personally, API kept me focused during a time when i needed it most.

A big thanks to you and the team, you helped some people more than you could possibly know.

Best of luck to all of you moving forwards.

It is digital already, you could subscribe to digital only.

PF will loose a chunk I would guess, but I am sure it is peanuts for them.

I also wonder whether other property investment magazines will also end the same way?

.. And would Simon take this opportunity further expand or innovate to further expand his business?.. Perhaps an addition to pchat... a blog or story or interview or article featured similar to API?

Always been part of the business plan - I just need to be able to fund it.

I wonder how much the current owners of ACP want for their back-catalogue of content?

Really shocked to hear the bad news. I personally thought that it would be the other property magazine I subscribe to that would have finished up. I am so grateful to API for the news, feature articles and seeing the figures on the features. Was always a motivator for me to see outside the box and consider other strategies. The property world is going to be a poorer place with one less reputable source.

I do hope that all the staff members are looked after and the timing really sucks for all.
