Apparently a plane landed in Thargominda a few weeks back in the dead of night. The mayor could hear it wasn't the rfds so went and had a look. Group from Victoria doing a runner. He frog marched them to the police. Never heard an update so who knows if it was true.

Saw on the news tonight that a lot of the commercial pilots are losing their licences because they can't get enough flying hours to stay registered ... that'll be interesting once we open up again, as there was a worldwide pilot shortage prior to covid

I'm planning a naval voyage from Circular Quay to Manly.

Does the fast ferry have luggage racks?

Where to stay? Manly Pacific or the North Steyne?

Is the Corso still the place to be seen?

A trip to the Emperial Palace - Royal Copenhagen.

    Manly bike tour

Manly Dive Centre to check out some wrecks

A relax on Manly Beach under the Norfolk Pines with some local fish & chips and a couple of seagulls.

    Four Pines Brewing

    Check out the little penguins

Maybe you should stay at Q-Station...

    Cheers,

So fitting for the times we live in.

Should I book for 2 weeks or 14 days?

Spent a week there back in the mid 90s when they still had a great 5 star gambling resort.

Little airport full of Private jets mainly from Asia.

Monster Coconut Crabs feed 5 families - protected though

I know they spend time on simulators but I reckon there may be an accident or two once we start flying again c/o pilots being rusty. Scary thought.

Flirting with the idea of going to Cocos Islands (looks like a true, pristine paradise devoid of tourists). Problem is the damn cost to get there as Virgin has a monopoly.

I have less concern with pilots. The aircraft concern me. There is well maintained and there is mothballed. You cant just drain jet fuel tanks of water and stale fuel. And what is the shelf like of tanks of avgas. And nobody really knows what tyres or fuel lines ina engine do when sat for months in one spot for a complete Qantas fleet. And seals. And what about Budget Airlines Inc ? Save a few bucks to see what happens. All those aircraft in the desert will have all sorts of critters in them. Snakes on a plane...In a turbine or galley ?

They havent fixed the 737 Max yet so why would they know how to maintain the whole world aviation fleet ?
