Bonds are an asset class I don't fully understand and thus seek opinions from anyone in the know.

Theres an interesting video link below where the POM being interviewed mentions buying bonds is a good idea.

Towards the end of the interview he gives his reasons why there could be another global recession.

At 44min 25sec he says that everyone should own bonds and that they will go to zero. He strongly asserts that one should buy / trade bonds now -although he doesn't give his reasons for this.

    Que:
    1. Are you able to explain why he would suggest that this is a good investment opportunity?
    2. How does one buy Bonds in Aust'?

    thanks

I didn't but ended up with scantily clad models based on @datto's preferences and previous searches. :p

I'm not sure how to access bonds directly in Australia. I have a small exposure through the ETF VGB.

Are you a wholesale investor? if yes, you can get exposure very easily. I mentioned on another thread that this is my wife's expertise and bonds are present with HNW investors - if you need help I'll give you her details - she works for FIIG....
