On that point is there any current or past toastmasters. It would be great if we could organize a session with a couple of speakers to talk about their property journey in a toastmasters style agenda (with/without the evaluations)

    If
If only a few of us we could meet at someones house, if we get more than a few we could meet at a pub or something (i leave near the Crossroads - so the pub there on the corner could be ok, as it isn't that busy during the week))

Would you be keen on doing a toastmasters style meetup, with a semi-formal agenda?

I reckon a meet up like the one at wenty leagues would be good, just a casual chat.

I live near the crossroads as well so that would be perfect

Ok, lets see who else responds and will base a location on that.

I have just managed to get my wife on board with investing.

is your partner into it as well?

Even though I am on the North Shore I would be interested also...

OK I have a vested interest...I want to pick your brains around what is going on the Campbelltown, Liverpool area....

A Friday night would be great...if you can manage it...

I don't know alot about investing yet, but I'm still happy to help out where I can. I live in prestons and my house has gone up in value over $200k since 2012. I think it will continue to rise because I heard on the news tonight that government is spending millions on Liverpool and cleaning up the river plus they are building a new marina near moorebank which is 5 mins away.

Feel free to ask any questions if you want to know more about the area.

I'd be keen. I'm also close to the Crossroads.

Yes...heard that too.....just too much hype at the moment...but upon a change in the market should present opportunities.

I don't think it will slow down until rates start to rise again. I reckon there is to much infrastructure and government spending on the area to give it a reason to slow up. New airport, marina, new developments driving up the price of the median house price, new train lines that have been put in and upgrades to roads etc

After a 14 year approval process the marina was finally approved.

    - 44m development should be good for the local area.
    - 22hec site including conference rooms, function Centre and kiosk.
    - 80% of boats registered in Sydney are from the west.
    -186 berths

I think these points will boost local commercial economy and will flow through to residential. No doubt will attract a lot of interest being the only marina of that size anywhere in the west. Very unique. Opportunity? o_O

I think this will put the area on the map commercially and if the airport goes ahead...then it is another plus..

Spot on. Biggest international airport in Australia and the only marina in the west only 15min away from each other. Imagine the potential in between these 2 places.

Don't want to burst any bubbles, but do you all really expect to see the type of boats in the article to be moored in Moorbank and cruising the Georges river? Statistics can be read in many ways, 80% of boats registered in Western Sydney, sure a heap if dingies!
