I'm sure it's not just me.

I cannot bear to look at all the negativity in the Property Economics sub-forum and haven't read more than a paragraph or two.

All the people of this ilk have created a multitude of threads all pertaining to the same matter on hand.

I'm not shying away from the problem facing the world economy, it's unprecedented but also blown out of proportion by the media and people I just described up above. After all, it's the sensationalist news that makes it to our ears, right! It's in the psyche of most humans. Who wants boring news.

I for one have stopped visiting PC 50 times a day (I love PC, by the way), like I used to before this invented crisis. I'll probably get torched by most members on here for creating this thread. Many will go into the same stuff the media and other sources dish out.

I cannot wait for the damned gyms to open up again so I can go pound the boxing bags rather than the keyboard.

I can't say I have noticed those posts - just ignore them best perhaps.

I hear what you are saying, those people are were always negative regarding the property market at some stage would get at least some things right.
I’m actually posting more regularly currently, mainly because I’m working along way from home with more time on my hands atm.

I would rather read those posts than the opposite posters writing we shouldn’t have gone into lockdown, the government is killing the economy, the USA is doing the right thing, what’s wrong if a few people die, ...

At least one is a medical professional and has some idea of what he is posting.

The other camp are a mob of red-necks and have no idea. Just my opinion.

I have ignored a total of one person, because I found their byline extremely offensive. Other than that I enjoy the plurality of views here.

The alternative way of looking at this is to focus on the opportunities that this market disruption is offering.

Wherever there is fear, there is opportunity.

Wherever there is change, there is opportunity.

Wherever the market gets distorted due to unforeseen external factors, there is opportunity.

You'll always do your best buying when everyone else is full of negativity and cannot see the opportunities that are being masked by their own fears.

Learn to ignore those people who let their fears define their reality.

That's so true Simon. Some of us are in no position to take advantage of the opportunities, which amplifies the feelings that we are wasting our time trying to do the right thing and get ahead. Sometimes it is a case of those 1%ers rubbing more salt into our wounds. For many years I found this community to be a breath of fresh air away from the negativity in the regular media, but recently it has become just as disappointing.

I usually get my warm and fuzzies from helping out newbies who genuinely want to learn. I also get to hang with the people I have come to admire and respect.

I was getting annoyed when those trolls came on and stopped coming on for a little bit. They seem to be gone now and I’m liking being here again.

Think they got banned ... use the report option if you ever think it necessary, even if just to territory a suspected troll, as the moderators can't be everywhere

The mods knew about them, they were responding to them. I think they just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Nah, I won't stop visiting and reading posts, unless they are way too long, regardless of who writes them.
