    Hi.

As per the title. I'm looking at doing something a little bigger in the lines of a boarding house/hotel in Sydney.

Anybody on here do any such development in the past or own one.

Looking for solid numbers for a business plan and costings.

    Would really appreciate a chat.

NHG, look up Elliotte?....can't remember her name, or the spelling. She was on SS. If you search by member, then alphabetical, you should find her. She had a couple in Sydney, then bought one in Tamoworth & moved there.

I dont think she built the buildings though if thats the information your after.

I have considered the idea of boarding houses built more like studio apartments and rented like a studio apartment.

Finding suitable land is more the problem in terms of that goal

I have read Elliottes thread. It is very good and entertaining. I'm interested in knowing more about boarding houses too. In particular the ones that are set up as studios. I will be watching this thread. As @gach2 already mentioned finding a suitable site is the most important part. From what I have read it can be rewording once it is all set up.
Finance is can probably by the issue as most will lend only 70%.

I've got a couple in Bris. Never built one though, have run the numbers a couple of times and it was just cheaper, simpler and quicker to buy existing.

Boarding house and hotels are at two different end of spectrum.

I know couple of hotlier who operates some of known hotels(accommodation) in Sydney and central coast.

Given the age of building, pretty sure they didn't built it. Can put you in touch if you are after large hotels.
