    Sounds like everyone is happy.

Remember I get first dibs at being your new housekeeper and my hubby wants to be your maintenance man.

I doubt it even put a dent in the buyer's wealth. :)

A good friend put it to me really well one time. She said the more times you put yourself in opportunities where you ' could' get extra lucky and do well, the more chances you'll have of luck fertilising.

Is that like putting a boxed trifecta of 4 nags on a 6 horse race in the country?

Not a horse racing person I'm afraid. All I know is horse (whatever it is) for the win.

Nor am I, this is a numbers play (boxing allows you to select a number of entrants and provided that three of them finish in 1-2-3 in any order, then you take out the trifecta) - simple combinations/permutations or probability calculation.

@Sackie congratulations mate 100% agree the more you put yourself in a position to be lucky, the more lucky you will get. Moral of the story... buy good assets consistently when you can and within your risk profile.

Sounds like you might be a good poker player

Good result and entirely reasonable. You didn't have to sell, you had parameters that would make it worthwhile selling, the buyers were prepared to meet that, everyone is happy!

    Cheers,

@Sackie interested to know how did you find out the real reason if agent was trying to hide it?

I replied to your question however I've changed my mind and deleted my reply now so it's not part of the fixed history. I think it's unnecessary to go into detail. Alot of people like to bash REAs but I respect the agent and appreciate that he has a difficult job to do as well and to his credit he made the deal work for everyone.

@Sackie congrats on the amazing deal! But bigger congrats on your first kid. She is really cute! Good to see that you make time to enjoy her as they are at their cutest between 6months and 3yo.

I have a 2 yo daughter and a 5 yo son, sure they keep me busy but make my life so much more purposeful. They can bring joy that no money can buy. The best 'things' to buy with money is your own time and experiences.
I found that having the freedom to spending quality time with them while they are young is a truly rewarding experience. Great post and thanks for sharing.

But @Sackie you can’t make money on real estate! Not in this market, not with this government, not in this economy, not....

Oh wait I forgot we aren’t in the property economics threads.

Well done mate. Another prime example of how a well executed strategy and mindset totally bypass all the the other garbage we keep reading.

Mate I just run my own race and do what's best for my own investing style and goals. The groupthink approach rarely works well so I tend to avoid it. It's ok, I'm sure some on here think I'm also full of rubbish, but who cares. I just keep ticking along to my own beat. I am so grateful each and every day I wake up healthy and happy. That's the true wealth in life, my friend :)
