    My friend says North lakes is a better investment compared to Algester. Is that true? If so why? If I have 500K for my first home then where I should buy Algester or North Lakes? Given, I have a small child.

    500k is not enough for Algester. You may be lucky if you get a 3/1/1 . If you are after rental yield then I would suggest North lakes..

    I think North Lakes is better when it comes to transport links. It’s closer to Kippa Ring. It is newer and looks cleaner.

    That said. Algester is close to some very pricey suburbs. So I feel will grow faster. Each tot heir own though. If it’s to live in, I would buy where I feel better. Not where a friend tells me is better.
