    PM's have been doing this for years in respect of tenants applying for 6+ month leases. It's just part of the screening process.

    Airbnb are being clever. Many idiots who trash homes post on FB. AI can trawl a proposed renter and flag potential concerns with themself, a related party or friends. Airbnb are adding to their host experience by risk assessing.

    Our Booking.com platform has a benefit - We require full prepayment and its often weeks to months out. We also allow cancellations up to 10 days out as we can refill that using another platform. Unpaid stays are a no go. Prepayment reduces fraud and ID risks enormously.
