In parts it could be okay, the airport is only for light aircraft so its no noiser than some of the adjacent suburbs to the east or south where light aircraft overfly.
    Imo the main negatives are:
Archerfield is a highly industrialized with numerous workshops and factories and the amount of trucks using the main arterials is unbelievable. Drive though the area either Boundry or Beaudesert rd on a weekday and you will know what I mean.
The other problem is much of the suburb is very low lying and went underwater in 2011. The airport itself nearly did from memory.
Im not saying there's not opportunities there but you would need to be careful to not get it wrong.

    Haha, no worries.
It helps to have a good look on Google maps at areas you're thinking about, turn on satellite view, zoom in and have a good look, have a look at 'street view' and see if there's anything unusual that jumps out like massive overhead wires, a nice bus stop out the front etc...

Nothing wrong with Archerfield ,I went out that way last week and the interesting factor is ,ALDI has just built one of the largest outlet I have seen in a long time in between super cheap the Woolworths cheap petrol and the other shops with Woolworths in that small complex also,ALDI don't build in non growth areas, the down side is a large industrial area, large car -truck volume each day.

@M-THIS, in realestate.com.au website, use the tab invest, hover the mouse around and you can get an idea of suburbs within your reach. $350 - $1M is a big variance.
