My PM just listed my apt on this site, but they have made it searchable as a house, rather than apartment/unit category. She said they have more success listing this way and getting a tenant in quicker.

    Any comments from this community?

    Thanks,

    JK

I think it is better to list it as an apartment which it is as tenants become frustrated when they learn a listing is in an incorrect category...explore what marketing campaign is being undertaken. We just listed a one bedroom apartment that we rented out after the first Open Home in Herston after a thoughtful marketing campaign - also what helps is that the owner had the property renovated and responded to our feedback about what matters for tenants. Professional images get more hits; having a PM take a sales approach at an Open Home is also helpful (half hour Open Homes are great to offer people the opportunity to connect with a property and the PM commence screening people through conversation)...

Better to have it as what it actually is. Get the right target audience through.
