Adelaide Tradie Recommendations For Sparkie, Painter, Floor Boards

    Rather than trying my luck with randoms from the yellow pages/internet, wondering if anyone here can recommend a few Adelaide tradies (servicing western suburbs), looking for:

    Floor sander & polisher for floorboards
    Electrician/handyman for exhaust install
    Painter

    Multiple suggestions welcome as my end up getting a couple of quotes.

    Ooh, does this mean you bought a place, or you only costing up to see if a place is worthwhile? If so, which area?

    And yes, lots of trades on my recommendation list these days. PM me the suburb and I'll let you know which ones service there?

    Resident 'permabear' bought a home? Stranger things have happened @D.T. ;)

    Would rather not get too specific on location, other than to say it's west and <15km from the city.

    Nothing to add on the tradie suggestions but does mean you think the market has bottomed out? I was going to say I'm a little surprised but actually I'm not, as you have hinted similar previously and there is value in the local market.

    Careful... they say a market peaks once the last bear capitulates ;)

    I'm torn, Adelaide could rise or fall from here over the next couple of years, but think it will outperform Sydney/Melbourne over the next 5-10. Decision to buy wasn't purely a financial one though, so don't read too much into it.
    Not yet, but if what they say about global warming and rising oceans is true...

    Anyone else have recommendations they can make?

    Revive Flooring has a lot of good reviews on Yellow Pages, but I am suspicious of how many people signed up just to leave them a positive review (especially considering one signed off with a different name to the profile!): Request Rejected

    Hey Joseph,

    Thistle Floors - not the cheapest, not the most expensive. But I've used them half a dozen times now and been happy each time - they're more fussy with my properties than I am...
