Hi I am currently doing my personal tax return for me and my wife with an accountant who charges $1300 to do both our tax returns including 12 investment property assessment/schedules.

    Is this reasonably priced?

$1300 combined? For 12 IPs I would have thought that’s very reasonable.

    Cheers

I would have expected it would have costed a lot more than that. I wouldn't be worrying it's too expensive if that's your concern.

$1,300/quarter? Or $1,300/year? What is involved in completing your returns, do you both have jobs, share portfolios and the properties?
Cheap doesn't mean it's bad, expensive doesn't mean it's good and vice versa on these.

Hi a year. Both have jobs. No share portfolios just standard deductions plus the 12 Investment Properties.

thanks everyone. FYI I have all my expenses for the investment properties organised so all he does Is ask me for example how much I pay interest for the property per year, rates, other expenses etc.

This is whether you think advice is important. That price would be just bare compliance.

Seems like a good deal. About $100 per IP is cheap as chips.
