I think that everyone has their own ways, some like DIY and some like turn-key services.
And please correct me if I am wrong, people here are very experienced, and that also meant that they did most themselves and learnt and grew over mistakes.

For you, I personally think that you also need to try to buy a few packages, and then a few houses to learn and grow from there, all the best, mate.

I am one of the only ones in Australia that can advise on Tax, Finance and law. But at the moment I only want to give tax and legal advice to my mortgage broking clients.

Unfortunately this kind of mindset will make you an easy target for someone who wants to lead you down the garden path - many spruikers sell themselves as a 'one-stop-shop' "we do all the work for you so you don't have to worry about a thing" "so you can keep working on the things that matter" etc. etc. etc.

Mortgage broker can map out the loan structuring and borrowing capacity - step 1
Accountant/tax adviser for the tax destructibility of the portfolio - step 2
Then all you need to do is find the properties you want to buy, usually via researching potential areas you would like to invest in yourself (highly recommended for your own knowledge) once you've identified a couple of suburbs, property types, there's the option to engage a buyers agent to find a suitable property in those areas for you, assuming you don't have the time to search yourself.

I certainly wouldn't want to buy a few packages to 'learn', that's just throwing money away in my opinion, you can learn more on this very forum by spending some time searching and reading.

    Hi Lindsay,

Thank you for your reply and wise advice,

I'm in business running my company for 20 years now, over this time i have met many spruikers. been managing many projects, inc Gov, throughout the years dealing with tradies, suppliers..etc the only thing i can tell you i can smell them from 100m.

Regarding the initial setup i have read a couple of books and been learning from few experience and knowledgable member in this forum. i know It might sound like i'm exaggerate and throwing money unnecessarily but each one can see the picture differently. however from what i can see there are many variables, each area require to be analysed individually and collectively, When building a strategy the rule of thumb is to look at both the Micro and Macro which each one putting his 1 cent, to build a complete workable plan. of course you will only do this strategy if your intentions are for long term, well investment in property for capital gain is a long term commitment.

In my case i need to look at PPOR options, Loan, SMSF, Company, Future plan, assets. this will require individuals to look at the Tax, Legal, Finance and mortgage Broker to review it all and liaise with each other to build a solid plan. yes it will cost money however if i can find the right team for the job, it can save me much more money then paying for mistakes that can have a devastating outcome both personally and financially. of course over the years the experience and knowledge will grow, the system will be in place so the expenses will be minimised.

So this is where i'm standing at the moment, still looking to find/build the right team for the job who specialise and have proven experience in property investment for capital gain (accountant/Tax, finance, broker, Lawyer). i'm happy to pay but don't like to be rip off. however didn't get one recommendation yet.

For the good property investment spirit, wishing everyone nice and relax time with the family, keep safe in this though crazy times :)

can setup a company for $770 online with many providers. some will even do the ABN, GST and TFN Registration as part of that pricing.
