    Malcolm can also be snarky, remember when he called the last election and only got in by the skin of his nose? he expected to win by a large margin- it didn't happen and had to be dragged, sulking, to the microphone at the end of counting.

    I did like him but when PM he wafted from one position to another always trying to please others. He wont go down as one of our better PM's.

    IMHO ScoMo made his first mistake by giving so much money to the Private School sector, his second - saying out loud maybe he will move our Embassy in Israel. Blind Freddy could foresee the trouble this would cause, and all because he wanted to please a certain sector in the Wentworth by election and he probably had no intention of doing same. Talk about foot in mouth.

    A pox on all pollies :D

    Putting ScoMo in as leader substantially reduced the coalition's electoral appeal.

    It may not have been suicidal, as they were on a downward spiral anyway, as polls have indicated and as the Wentworth by election confirmed.

    It wasn't about electoral appeal, it was about ideological position.
