Quick update: Would like to thank everyone for their advice, feedback and recommendations. I am now all in. I decided I like my 'bum lifestyle' too much to sift through companies to find individual stocks so I also allocated that part of my capital to LICs. Its a set and forget.

So, what was the final allocation & break-up?

I was wondering whether you took action.

I was too scared to ask in case you got cold feet.

Total returns from my portfolio since you started this thread is 4.1%. It would have been sad if you did nothing.

    How about the 22nd time?

A Sherpa climbing guide who scaled Mount Everest for a record 22nd time last week returned from the mountain on Sunday and said he's already planning his next trip.

Record Everest climber returns, already planning next trip

Thanks @willair It's a set and forget allocation. I won't be looking at it for a very long time. Emotionally, I'm not convinced but after talking to many people plus some of the advice on here, intellectually I get it. So its done and I wont be looking at it. I've told myself if the equity disappears, it disappears. No biggie. SANF is no less than before.

Cold feet would have been an improvement. It was freezing for awhile! But I pulled the trigger (with the aid of a close friend).

That's a good allocation. I would want to keep adding over time.

Thanks @Perthguy . Most likely will take a small chunk of profits from each development over time and allocate it across the share portfolio .

Well done but curious why you have VAE but not VGS? Current valuations? Sort of leaves a big gap in the portfolio for International exposure.

No good answer really. Should I allocate some to VGS?

I can’t tell you what to buy but you’ve invested in higher risk Emerging Asian markets (VAE) buy left out all the developed World economies such as the US, Japan, Germany, UK etc (VGS):

I am of the opinion that the Stock market in Australia is gonna boom. After the GFC, sentiments were very low and people invested in real estate. Now that real estate boom is over institutional and retail investors would book profit and invest in the alternative asset class(stock market)

What about international factors? We are a snall fish in a very big pond in that situation.

As long as there is buying activity irrespective of whether international or local will always lead in to increase in prices. Global factors can cause after effects and impact sentiments but then are the multitude of drivers in the market.
