5000% interest rates?

    This is a facinating video on the highest deposit interest rates across different countries and how they change over time.

    It moves fast, but I think Brazil had interest rates of over 5000% pa around 1993

    as of 2019 Argentina was the highest with 47%

    How sure were those getting 5000% of getting their money at the end of the term (or in installments)?
