    Extremely unlikely.
Australia will need about 550 in their second innings to have a chance.

    Smith's form is unusual.

lots of speculation going around- I think cap'n Clarke will hang up his boots at the end of the series.

Be have a history of not being able to bat against the Duke ball when the conditions allow the ball to swing in the air..

I find the media mentality about this test series quite funny.

They report about it like there has been a death in the family.

Hell; some commentators are getting ANGRY!!!

I mean; we have lost the Ashes this time around...yep; and?

Good on England!! Well done! They are the better team right now.

Why is this such a shock? Are they not humans and also capable of bowling a ball and whacking a few sixes?

If we were to lose say; 6 Test series in a row then I could understand the handwringing and head shaking and demands for heads on plates, but ONE series?

We have become far too arrogant about our cricket and have come to expect we will win everything all the time.

We need to get over ourselves.

There's always another Ashes. Good news Wallabies won the first game. Eden Park is next.

Hopefully they will win but I'm not overly optimistic as they haven't got close at Eden Park in a couple of decades

Anyone else had trouble at work today with their English colleagues? It seems that all of our imported friends are all cricket lovers all of a sudden.

I think you will find most of us have been cricket lovers for a long time just not had much to cheer about for a year or three.

Early days at the oval, but I don't think you'll have much to cheer about here...
