They wouldn't be as good as the subscriber sites, but still useful:

    Ozpropertyview.com

    Propertyvalue.com.au

I use this site heaps, here is a tip for newbees though; this site mines data from lots of different sources including Gov. registered transactions, some of these will be 'off market' so may not reflect true market value, think like in a divorce or sale father to son, so if the listing doesn't have internal pictures/ no listing agent/ no floorplan/ no written description etc. be careful not to draw conclusions of price erroneously.

I guess the moral of the story is to not rely on a single source ;)

Just like RP data. Most commonly used site for sold prices although like you mentioned often shows prices sold to family etc. So not really an indication of market. But nontheless, still shows last sold price.
I find it funny when it sold 10 years ago for x amount then 10 years later it's like half of that. Then obviously you know it was a 'family' sale.

That's a point, if I were to sell a property to family at a lesser price than I paid for it, would the Government step in and give me money? I mean they are quick enough to take their share when you make money off a property, shouldn't it work the same way??? :p

These are great folks, thankyou! There's a couple I hadn't heard of before so thanks for sharing. I'm in buying mode right now so this is very valuable.
