We just hit 10,000 members! Yay. Note that HGM isn't actually the 10,000th member - the member count only shows "valid" members (ie emails haven't bounced, user hasn't been banned, user account hasn't been deleted) ... so it can go up and down if user statuses change. We actually passed the 10,000th signup quite some time ago - but we now have 10,000 validated members!
Somersoft ended up with just under 27,000 members - but that figure today would be lower because we aren't emailing users and so aren't de-activating accounts which are no longer valid due to emails bouncing.
But nobody would listen to anybody else! Everybody would just push their own businesses! This way is better.... think about it. Over 10k registered people could be seeing your posts. And that excludes the lurkers. (Which there are many!)
Wow - just need to find a way to convince the lurkers to sign up. For every member there are 9 lurkers!
Congrats Simon, it's a testament to the fact that people find the platform you've built to be helpful to them. Somewhere to pop in and learn some new information, pose a question, get some answers etc.
