I am the Principal and CEO of Alexa Real Estate in South Australia.
What I really am is an entrepreneur that loves to create wealth through businesses and the real estate company is one that has really taken off. I started it from concept 11 years ago and we are now one of the main agents in Adelaide's western suburbs (mainly) and managing around 300 properties and 9 staff members...

I am also a motivational speaker (when I get some breathing space) and have published 2 books on mindset: Books Written by Owners - Alexa Real Estate

Here is a conference I did a few years ago - I love public speaking and mostly empowering women.



Before getting into business, I was a medical research scientist, got my PhD in Adelaide and then did a 3 year post doctoral fellowship in Canada at the university of Saskatchewan - in Vaccine research.

The transition to properties and business was to create an income because getting government grants for med research is difficult and not at all dependent on how good you are at being a scientist. Sometimes you just need to grab the bull by the horns and create your own income rather than hoping, praying and begging that someone is going to provide you with a grant so that you can feed your kids. A stable income in research that relied on someone else's opinion was too unstable for me so I walked.... and took control.

Being an entrepreneur is the best thing I have ever done.
