    Yes it’s melbournes biggest suburb
But it doesn’t take long to get around in it

This is a very biased forum.
A lot of inner North fans in here.
A lot of families with children would much rather live in the Outer East with a backyard than having wine bars at their door step

If I was buying for future growth as a % I’d be going as follows. (In order)
    Oakhill (Regent/Reservoir)
    Fitzroy North/Carlton North
    Thornbury
    Northcote.

As a fyi, Oakhill just cracked another 2m + sale today, Queen Street, 2.515m

Melbourne auction clearance rate is showing as 68% for 20th April, last year it was 65% same time. Hope it picks up slowly this year.

Interesting that average auction sales is $1.16m whereas average private sale is $823k (ave not median)

not everyone buying houses are “families” though. Plenty of families living in inner north though. I didn’t mention wine bars…I said a lot going on, for kids too. Lots of parks, nature, pools, recreational activities. Not just a vibe for single twenty something year olds. Plenty of backyards too!
i think you over interpreted my post! Its never as black and white as you think

Croydon's town centre has some great restaurants and cafes, a cinema, train station (with level crossing about to be removed, Coles, Aldi, Maroondah Hospital (one of the States largest), two public swimming pools, two very good public high schools and two top end private schools. Also a 5min drive to Eastland which has a great piazza, cinemas, bars etc etc. Leave the inner north hipsters to themselves :D

Been a while since I looked their (prior to new station build) - we ended up buying in Epping and Lalor. Best to chat to someone who lives there - eg @Amber83
In addition to that - "walk the streets" so to speak.

IMHO you have the southern area bordering Preston up to Rezzy station as one type of market (smaller more established blocks), the area east of High as more a Bundoora feel (quite big blocks), and then the area north of the station west of High (Ruthven) which is more a Lalor/Thomastown feel (big blocks too).

Melba College, Yarra Hills. Croydon Community College is a specialist school similar to Templestowe High. No need to be smart arse...

Sorry mate, wasn't trying to be. Grew up in the area and was certainly not aware of any decent public high's. Ringwood Sec always had a good rep, but small catchment zone. Great to see things have improved in the area.
