My findings just now..... (Gas stove). House is about 40 years old. I don't think the stove is quite that old though. Let's assume its more than 10 years old and I don't think anybody has cleaned under there in that time. 20240329_192326.jpg 20240329_193639.jpg

OMG!!! How does that stuff make its way under the stove? There's a lamp leg (?) bone there as well as aluminium pie cases, goodness knows what else. Surely someone had to slide those things under. How else would they get there?

Best find imo was large toe nail clippers!!

They slid in from the front. Just enough space (around 14mm is my guess) for all this stuff to go under

any signs of rodents ?, that pie dish looks a bit chewed up
rats will drag stuff into areas like wall cavities etc. to have a feast.

once watched a 100+ year old house being demolished, and as they were pulling off the eaves, hundreds of macadamias and snail shells fell out.
turns out the rats (or possums) were raiding the local macadamia trees and bringing dinner back home.

We found dead rats under the stove in a house we bought. It was a hoarders house and had been cleared and painted by the housing Commission. They obviously didn't look there.

My sister found a live tiger snake under her stove.

She lives on a farm, so is a little more prepared for that sort of event.
