    Hello guys and girls,

In another thread I decided not to replace tiles but I didn't want to just leave it as they are. Really hate the color!

I've emailed the resurfacers and retilers and I'm surprised how pricey it is. Thought it was supposed to be a fraction of the cost.

But besides the cost I'm getting one retiler saying they use a special type of glue, epoxy or something and they have to apply it multiple times and wait a couple of hours in between.

Another one saying tile resurfacing is not recommended but what they can do is tile over existing tiles.
    I'm not certain what's right.

Is anyone has the knowledge please letter him speak

    TIA

I've used all 3 in different places so it depends on the property.

Resurface - used a thermal glazing mob, redid the bathtub and walls. Good finish. Needed to replace tiles which were drummy (loose).

Repaint - big box hardware tile paint - much softer, will scratch and OK for a couple of years.

Tile on tile - used on several Maccas kitchen refurbs. Trims etc need to be extended/replaced, new tiles required.

Did you mean OK for a couple of years for repainting wall tiles I guess? Floor tiles repainted won't last that long ?

Bunnings sell specialist paints to paint wall and even floor tiles, laminated benches etc. Dulux and other major brands. Its pricey per litre but fit for purpose
