Sounds very expensive for someone that is going to draft up a granny flat and pass it on to their builder network (who may or may not pay them a kick back). Something basic as a granny flat could be drafted by a builder' usual draftsman. If looking for a builder who can do granny flat sized houses in SEQ look at Dixon Homes. They did mine in brick veneer and additional single garage for around the same price as most builders were quoting lightweight granny flats with bunnings fittings

Please call me directly and I'll be sure the team sorts it out for you asap! I'm more than happy to chat with you directly to understand where we haven't met your expectations. Thank you Dean.

Thanks for your feedback, I'm Dean the director of DIY Granny Flats, to expand a little more... The price is not just to draft up a granny flat, it includes, engineering, stormwater, energy reports, surveys and all the liaison back-and-forth with certifiers until everything is approved :)

Hi, I'm a director of DIY Granny Flats, it involves a little more than drafting some plans, especially in the ACT where the specifics for getting approval & all the work required to then be issued a CC, is always a lot more work than people expect. We live in a very regulated country when it comes to construction; if you want it done right, this can sometimes takes weeks to get the approval and then CC.

    Hi Andy,
I just looked on the website/Facebook page and A couple of negative reviews that were up a few weeks ago have disappeared. Id be asking for reviews like with any business. Current and previous are always a good start imo before signing a contract with any builder.
Keep a watch here hopefully some will speak up soon.
    Anyone else have any feedback?

Hi Andy, This is Dean a director of DIY Granny Flat, please let us know if we can help with anything regarding the negative reviews you saw, happy to have a chat and get to the bottom of it. We did have an upset client in the past, yes this is correct. It was a misunderstanding about design work, that we rectified and they removed the review on their end - If this is the review you were talking about? - P.S Sorry the late reply, I don't jump on this forum often
