Lauren Singer: Zero-waste advocate with a zero tolerance on trash

How to live with zero waste

Does anyone practice this or tries to?
    I don't, but want to.

not to this extreme, I am not as disciplined.......

it does irk me that our society over packages, its totally mindless.

I started a thread on this, not only is it bad for the planet, its wasteful and costs $ to over package??? and frustrating.

How much paper did we just waste voting? Why cant this stuff be done online? Then the government wants to turn around and hit us with carbon taxes, ETS, guilt trip us on pollution and carry on like a pack of boobs over climate change.

I am mostly recyclables, I fill a yellow bin up in a fortnight but will only use less than one bag of hard waste in the same fortnight.

I once tried to minimise my waste. Held on for the second day but someone opened a tap and it was all over.

Not to this extent but I share a house and we are low waste. On a typical week we would make a shopping bag or less of rubbish and about a banana box or less of recycling.
