Edit: I think it was a Great Wall, not a Cherry!!!
Was doing a 4WD trip somewhere in NSW and one of the cars was a Cherry.
On a very normal road the car flipped, 3 occupants in the car, a Chinese woman driving, her daughter (who has a disability) and the grandmother.

I feel so bad for the mother.
Anyway, there are so few Chinese cars on the road and the first one I encountered had this accident completely out of the blue. I wouldn't ever trust it.

Speaking of cars, my sister just sold a 12 year old Holden, listed 5pm, sold same day. 58k kms, car still looks good, sold for only $3500! She has 2 daughters not too far off learning to drive age, I guess the plan must be for the kids to learn on something else.

FYI - Cheri make Jaguar - Land Rover for the Chinese market - not far fetched to get them to make cheap JLR for LHD market, just as SAIC (Shanghai Auto Industry Corp) is now selling cars with the MG badge here.

So basically, GM will screw over their entire Holden dealer network, although realistically it would be foolish of them not to cherrypick it, (but for HSV?), to introduce some specialist vehicles (especially with a low cost RHD conversion like the Corvette)?

    Wow, that's a bit brutal.

I know right? Seems like screw the Aussies, we want to keep our jobs local no matter the cost or impact. But we want to be involved in your V8 races and we want you to buy our USA built cars.

This could go two ways, a lot of Aussies may gravitate towards Ford now that they announced a $500m investment into their Aussie endevours whilst GM said "Screw you guys, we're going home". It could end up being a really smart or a really stupid move.

    Good call.

And if Lindsay Fox buys Lang Lang, after GMH spent $15m doing it up a few years ago, then everyone will be able to, for a small fee, belt around it, for old time's sake.

Who knows, maybe Lindsay will get ideas about owning a former Aussie icon, and there just might be hope for the Energy Polariser 2.0 yet.

Sounds nice, and Youtube is pleased with it, but a 180B can cope with a compression lockup by accidentally being dropped from 4th to 1st at speed on a flyover, and then, once driven more sensibly, composes itself as if nothing happened.

<Detail omitted for self preservation reasons from decades old naughtiness>

Although maybe the Infiniti can have a crack at it without a visit to the panel beaters...

The other consequence of Holden pulling out is the collapse of the aftermarket Chev badge industry, as bogans will be able to buy an actual Chevrolet.
