    Hi everyone,
Would you please help me decide on ROOF COLOUR to go with a new exterior colour for this house?
This is the back of the house and faces north. Clearly, the pink has to go!

This is the front -south facing:

For exterior walls I'm thinking Grand Piano with charcoal and white or White Duck with white.
Hoping to achieve this kind of look (despite weird bricks):

    and / or this:

Would surf-mist work? Wouldn't have to worry about mould in these parts. Or would it be too much white?

The current colour is a bit boring but it is not standing out. Maybe that is a good thing given it is not a terracotta roof tiles.
I like the traditional red roof. Your neighbour has the black roof. Dark green might blend it as well.
No answer here.. Just random thoughts :)

I would spend the money improving the street appeal of the property as in your suggestion pictures, the roof would not really be an issue. It does not look bad in the photos you provided.

Thanks Xenia, it's in good nick but a very faded beige. Are you suggesting it doesn't need a new colour?

yes, the roof colour is not something that becomes a deal breaker if everything else is done.
You may be able to get away with leaving it and spending the money on something that will improve the rental.

what else are you doing to the property?

Or - leave till last and see what it looks like and what colour will match best once all other things are done.

yea I wouldn't be fussed with that roof (seen a lot worse)

not too many people would notice a roof anyway, as Xenia said focus on improving eye level street appeal etc

If you are going to change the roof colour, I would go with what Devan suggested, traditional red as it would suit the country - style verandah, white, trimming that you want to achieve.

Also no such thing as too much white - love it, clean and bright are always attractive elements to a house.

OMG I'm too non-conformist for Antique white (USA ?) but will go grey/beige/white.
Glad you're all non-plussed about the roof. Maybe it'll be fine - save me 2K.

In my opinion, dark coloured roofs give the feeling of house being new/renovated.
Most of the houses these days have that feel, being built with dark roofs.

True, I love the look but it's too hot out here - a bit of a silly fashion for us. Quite irresistible though.

I donno... Too much white scares me a little. White inside is ok... buy outside? Asking for trouble.
