I am watching how to get away with murder now - s1 was pretty good, but s2 is slowly going down hill. Anyone continued to s3 or 4?

I generally like British series - at least in some categories.

    What's it about?

I watched Patrick Melrose. Brilliant acting but jeez...hard going in parts.

    Anyone see McMafia.

Dumb title but i was engrossed and almost watched the whole series flying to Singapore yesterday.

Watched greyzone on SBS. That was enjoyable and quite multi-dimensional

Started the first episode of Rake but stopped. He was just annoying depsite loving him in the first several series.

I love the selection of shows available on SBS on Demand.

The Bureau had me hooked from the very first minute. Edge of your seat spy thriller. Watched all 3 seasons in 1 week!

Netflix is showing "The House of Flowers" (a Mexican series, in Spanish with subtitles). It was quite good, poking fun at all the soapies, with all the tragedies to ever befall a family in most soapies all occurring in the first two episodes.

While I haven't watched all of series 2, I'm finding it harder to get into. It doesn't have the same intensity as the first series.

The Wire, which is an American crime drama. Amazing show with excellent cast of characters, very realistic drama, and does a great job showing all sides of the drug/gang problem in inner cities in America. This is my favorite show of all time.

The Detectorists. 3x 6 episode series. Starts off a little slow but an absolute gem of a piece of television. The last episode of the last season, (ep6 season 3) I'd rate as the most "loveliest" half our of television I've ever seen, based in part on the build up of the characters from the 3 seasons leading to it. Such a subtle build up of characters that give just enough away for you to fill your own back story in for them. Brilliant.

Not many would agree but "suits" I'm finding as the best TV series of all time.
Finding it better than breaking bad.

    I don't know why

Of all time I would go with The Sopranos.

Recent memory, I would put Black Mirror right up there. Amazing balance of futuristic but staying within the realms of possibilities. Very cleverly done.

Enjoying S1. Have you watched anymore? Does it get better or go downhill in 2,3 and 4?

    Thanks
